Antarctica is simply stunning. The enormity of its ice shelves and mountain ranges and the beauty of Antarctica may haunt you for the rest of your days. No place on earth compares to this vast white wilderness. Antarctica is one of the most thrilling adventures on earth. Revel in the overwhelming power and beauty of nature. When one thinks of Antarctic wildlife, penguins are usually the first animals that come to mind and rightfully so! But did you know that there are 35 species of birds that call Antarctica home?

In addition to penguins and birds, you will also find several species of seals and whales. In fact, the entire continent has been declared an international whale sanctuary with whaling activities being closely monitored by the International Whaling Commission.

Whether you’re going for glaciers, animals or the personal satisfaction of touching the southern-most part of the earth, an Antarctica expedition will never leave you.

Let us plan your adventure for you!

Travelling Well to Antarctica:

  • When travelling by boat, it’s important to note that the smaller ships (50-100 passengers) can get you where the big ships can’t-up close and personal to Antarctica’s wildlife and nature.
  • Check out Paradise Harbor- This is a great place for Zodiac cruising around the calving ice from the glacier at the head of the bay. Pass beneath blue-eyed shags nesting on the cliffs. With its majestic icebergs and reflections of the surrounding mountains in the water, Paradise Harbor is undeniably beautiful. Even the early-20th-century whalers operating here recognized its extreme splendor, as its name indicates.
  • Choose the right time to visit. Antarctica’s tour season covers about five months, November to March. In November, the pack ice starts to break up and it’s mating season for penguins and other birds. In December and January, the penguin chicks hatch and are fed and nurtured in the breeding grounds. Whales are easily spotted during February and March.
